0.2 Development Status
Greetings everyone! It has been a while since my last development updates, there's a lot of new things id like to show to you guys and talk about what's to come for the mod, so lets get to it!
Switching our Target Source Port - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Since the release of 0.1.1, there's been a lot of issues with the current source port we're using for, tons of really crude and sloppy code and hacky workarounds to get what we wanted in-game. Thankfully the developers for UZDOOM, a far more capable port, have made a lot of improvement to a lot of multiplayer features and fixed the net-coding on its engine. So, we have since switched to UZDOOM!
While multiplayer itself hasn't been fully implemented, it really isn't difficult to set up! Of course, a guide on how to set up multiplayer will of course come in due time (unless the UZDOOM developers add their own server browser program by the time this new update is released hehe)
A new playable bunny - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
After finishing Daisy, i wanted to start branching out with more weapons for her. However, i am not exactly a fan of mods with tons of weapons for one single character, as its rather annoying to cycle through them with just 10 number keys. So instead of adding just weapons, i decided to add new playable characters with their own weapon roster and their own gameplay features.

Meet Stella! the next playable character, Daisy's girlfriend and one resilient stout and silly girly :3
I'm making her play more like a tank character. Slower and with a new arsenal of stupid looking weapons, Her 3rd person view has already been finalized, and weapons will come very sporadically between enemy work and whatnot, but i am really excited to have her finished! she would be really fun for slaughtermap mapsets!
She wont be the only rabbit, as there is plans for two other characters. But they will not come until subsequent updates, which will be a lot. Still, i hope this is exciting news for people who were requesting for new characters!!
The Update System - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To make gameplay more interesting, i've thought about making a system to add small, but powerful buffs to your arsenal to make them deal more damage to tougher enemies, since they themselves are getting stronger with new attacks.

Thus, the Upgrade Backpack!
This rare powerup would sometimes spawn in place of a backpack, it gives you a permanent upgrade to a weapon of your choosing to give them an add-on that would help you defend or attack against tougher demons!
The Expanded TESTMAP & Spawn Tablet - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I've wanted for a while to have a proper sandbox area to just mess around alone or with friends, so this is likely the next feature to get completely revamped for 0.2, while its not as consistently being worked on, i do try to add anything i find would be interesting. Ideas would be very welcomed, as i want the new test map to be as good as i can make it!!
Here is a WIP of the main area. There will be more architecture and interesting stuff to explore and mess around with, as long as a big Basement with even more stuff and secrets to find :3
New enemies - - - - - - - - - - - - -
And finally, what i consider the most anticipated feature by far, the new batch of enemies from DOOM2!
So far I've only finished 3 out of 9 enemies, currently working on the Necro-Deer (or archvile if you want the original name :P) but progress has been significantly faster than i thought it would be, i am hopeful i can get them done by April or may next month! If you want to see new enemies, you can vote for what enemy to work on next over on The Cyberspace Cafe Discord (18+), where i host this and more updates for the mod!
These wont be the only enemies i will be adding to the mod, as i have plans to add enemies from Legacy of Rust and Skulltag as randomizers and future mod-specific game modes and maps.
There are a lot of other smaller things i could talk about, like the weapon edits, the myriad of fancy graphical and audio overhauls, particles for many things, silly easter eggs and decorations, but i think theyre not noteworthy enough to mention here. That said, im sure you guys would like to know, when would the new update drop?
I can't say for sure, as i never like to put deadlines to my projects due to the sporadic nature of what i want to focus on, but i hope by July or August 2026 we could have enough finished features to push a public update, if you'd like to test what we have so far, you can check out my Patreon to get a playtester build!
